"They think its cancer." With those four words I watched my mom's world start collapsing around her. What do you say at that point? Words fall short of any meaning. Looking back and being totally honest, l couldn't even tell you what I said to comfort her. I do remember thinking how in that instant, not only was my mom's life now going to be a battle fought in order to live but that I was going to have to fight the battle along side of her.
